🌿 Lovely Places Just Outside Tiverton

If you're making a day trip or weekend of your visit to SNOB, there are some wonderful places just a few minutes outside Tiverton that are absolutely worth exploring.

From farm shops and riverside pubs to countryside walks and hidden foodie gems, Mid Devon is full of lovely surprises.

One of our absolute favourites is this special place…

🌿 Halberton Court Farm Shop & Café

Go and visit my great friend Janet and the wonderful team at Halberton Court Farm Shop and Caféit’s one of our favourite local spots just outside Tiverton.

You can enjoy coffee, lunch or cake in their lovely restaurant overlooking the farm, with beautiful views across the rolling Mid Devon countryside.

What makes Halberton Court so special is that much of the produce you see in the farm shop is grown just a few feet from where you’re sitting. It’s proper field-to-fork food.

If you're visiting the shop, make sure you have a chat with one of the knowledgeable butchers.
Martin (who occasionally appears on their socials!) may just be the funniest butcher on the planet — or at least in Mid Devonand will happily help you choose the perfect cut of meat.

You might also catch a glimpse of Tony, one of the hardworking heroes of the farm, and the true boss of the place — Storm, the effervescent working cocker spaniel who keeps everyone in line.

During the summer months, Halberton Court is also famous for its pick-your-own strawberries, which makes a lovely addition to a day exploring Tiverton and visiting SNOB.
